About My Work

I am an experienced literacy tutor based in Woodbury in Devon with over 25 years of teaching across mainstream schools, specialist settings, and private tuition. I specialise in helping children, young people, and adults build confidence in reading, writing, spelling, and communication skills. Alongside my work as a tutor and educational writer, I also run Neurodiversity Learning Support Consultancy, offering tailored support for families choosing home education.

I specialise in supporting:

  • Primary literacy (phonics, early reading, handwriting, KS1–2 English)
  • Secondary literacy (KS3, GCSE English Language, revision strategies)
  • Functional Skills English (Entry Levels 1–3, Levels 1 & 2)
  • Neurodivergent learners, including autistic students and those with dyslexia
  • Adult learners returning to study or seeking workplace literacy skills

Tutoring with Kate Coldrick

Whether you need one-to-one support for yourself or your child, I offer personalised tuition designed to build literacy skills step by step. Lessons are held in Woodbury, Devon, with flexible times Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm, during term time and holidays.
