A small milestone: I now have four titles available on Amazon. My latest workbook, Understanding English Through Word Parts, has been published by Kate Coldrick and focuses on Anglo-Saxon, Latin and Greek word parts for vocabulary, spelling and reading.

The book is designed to help students look inside words and understand how they are built. It introduces common word parts, shows how they appear in modern English vocabulary, and gives students repeated practice in connecting spelling, meaning and context. It includes clear explanations, worked examples, word-part tables, word sums, practice activities, literature-based vocabulary work and answer keys.

The aim is to make unfamiliar vocabulary feel more manageable. Rather than asking students simply to memorise long words, the workbook gives them a process they can use: notice the word part, think about its meaning, check the context, and explain the connection.

It’s part of my wider work creating structured English resources for students who benefit from clear explanation, modelling and manageable steps.
